Reasons to join an ATV club
Nov 5th, 2007
For those of you who has never been enrolled in an ATV club before, boy, you don’t know what you’re missing. It’s THE LIFE, man! I mean, this is something you’d have to do at least once in your lifetime if you’re as big an enthusiast as you think you are. Think about it, there are tons of benefits to reap when you join an ATV club. I, myself, am a member of so many ATV clubs all around the country that I’ve completely lost count. That’s because I am sucker for cheap stuff, you see and most of these ATV club memberships costs more or less $10 or $20 per year. I don’t ride with all the ATV clubs enough but that’s OK, I still get all the updates via newsletters online and in the mailbox. At least when the time comes, like now, I have reference….AND something to read in the bathroom!
Support from your friends within the ATV club is absolutely essential. Don’t know where to eat, ask them. Don’t know where to find parts for that busted exhaust, ask them. Don’t know what present to get for your wife for her birthday, ask them. I mean, they’re more than just fellow ATV enthusiasts at the end of the day. I’ve met so many people in many ATV clubs that I’ve got tons of friends in the ATVing field. It’s like I can give them a call anytime I want if I need their help….and some of them would go out on a limb just to offer you assistance.

Being a member of an ATV club of the state that you are in has benefits too. Many of us gather together over the weekend while the kids ride together, the dogs ride together, and us….we’re just hitting the beer barrel the whole day and it’s just…you know, fun that way. And besides, when the kids get together with all of us, each of us learn neat tricks. Like my son just learned how to do a wheelie from another member’s kick-ass twelve year old daughter!
It’s more than just making friends and having fun. You can also save a lot of money by joining an ATV club because some of the ATV clubs are pretty darn active and they go all around roping in sponsors and stuff like that. Sponsors will give a lot away for the sake of promotion, don’t you agree with me on that one? So, by becoming a member of an ATV club, you get cheaper pricing when you want to rent a room in a nice little local bed and breakfast, you get discounts off gas and there are also members-only sales you can pick and choose from.
All in all, the ATV club organizers have huge roles to play because, admit it, it’s not easy organizing regular trips, collecting and providing all the information needed for the ATV club’s trip and there is mountain of work involved if the ATV club trip involves children. And you can never run out places to ride in because the ATV club members are like radars…the moment a new ATV trail or track is set up, it’s always there in the forum or other members would all be informed via newsletters.
It’s fantastic, the feeling of knowing so many people who are just as passionate about ATVing as you are. Go ahead and try it. It’s very cheap and fun!
