Super Slippery conditions no problem for Yamaha's Dustin Nelson

Under slippery conditions on the 20 th April, 2007 is no problem at all for Team Yamaha's talented super ATV racer, Dustin Nelson who took home the round three of 2007 ITP /Yamaha QuadCross Championship series in Arizona's Arizona Cycle Park where the ATV race was held. Despite the hard-pressed conditions, Dustin Nelson took it in his stride and overdid the other 25 ATV racers during the ATV race. Because the surface of the ATV track was hard-packed and blue-grooved, it was, we have to say, difficult to maintain control of the ATV…especially in blinding speed.

Dustin Nelson himself admits that it was one of the best races he's ever performed. Dustin Nelson of Team Yamaha is the championship's defending champion and have a lot to lose and suffered a set-back when he was left behind at the blow of the whistle. But he showed us what he is made of by coming from behind on his QuadCross MX-shod YFZ450 in blinding speed. Dustin Nelson criss-crossed past contenders during the race and managed to get to ninth placing in a track-based melodrama! Often, Dustin Nelson of Yamaha kept to the inside line while zipping past his contenders and searched for traction where he could find it sliding and slicing through. And finally, he managed to wedge himself into the lad by the time there was two more laps to go. The moment he got the lead, he kept it.

A lot of Yamaha's Nelson's success is attributable to the fact that the tires on his ATV was designed for multiple types of track conditions. We're not just saying this – Dustin Nelson just proved it right. The tires, QuadCross MX, was designed specifically for the slickiest type of tracks because of its sosft rubber compound hence, it made it easier for Dustin Nelson to zip past his contenders. While others had to slow down a lot, Dustin Nelson had a lot more control over his ATV that day. In particular, the ATV tires were designed in such a way that it has sufficient bite during accelerating and braking – and needless to say Dustin Nelson had a fine time turning corners at high speed.

So, with Dustin Nelson taking the top spot this time, who will be the next? The ITP /Yamaha QuadCross Championship Series will make its way to Honolulu Hills Raceway next in Taft California . That ATV race is schedules for the 6 th May 2007 . The championship is, for your information, open to all who wants to challenge themselves and there's enough class in the championship to suit all types of ATV riders, so, if you wish to find out more about this ATV championship, log onto http://www.itpquadcross.com
